Panjabi Poetica
At the heart of our work is Panjabi Poetica, our flagship initiative dedicated to bringing Panjabi poetry into contemporary public life—not as an artifact of the past, but as a living tradition to be read, sung, and experienced together. Through reading circles, performances, webinars, and conversations, we welcome both new and lifelong audiences to discover and engage with one of the world's great literary traditions.
Visual Arts
We curate exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects that explore culture, identity, memory, and belonging through contemporary art. By working closely with artists and cultural institutions, we create opportunities for meaningful encounters with diverse histories, perspectives, and creative practices.
Nānaka Ivẽ Jāṇīẽ : Contemporary Janamsakhi Paintings

Janamsakhi’s are the legendary stories of the life of Guru Nanak (1469-1539), the founder of the Sikh faith. They offer a fascinating glimpse into the life and teachings of the Guru, blending historical narrative with sacred storytelling. These texts, many times accompanied with illustrations, serve not only as biographical accounts but also as early examples of Sikh art. Contemporary artists, Keerat Kaur and Avtar Singh, are reinterpreting these traditional stories, infusing them with modern perspectives and contextualizing them within today’s moral, environmental, and ecological realities. In response, contemporary poets create verses that engage deeply with these artworks. This dynamic continuation of the Janamsakhi tradition, bridges the past with the present while engaging with the profound truths conveyed through the teachings of Guru Nanak.
