MacArthur Foundation

In 2016 we applied for this grant We wrote for this grant to have an opportunity to think big. Writing for a grant is like developing a business plan and we hoped this grant writing would give us some future direction. The advertising about this grant said they were looking for fresh and new ideas and they would give each grant submission some feedback about what had been submitted. Here is a copy of what we wrote when we applied for this grant.

Rauuschenberg Fellowship 2017

Artist as Activitist

In 2017 we applied for this Fellowship. Putting your ideas on paper is the most important part of writing a grant. It is this, that will move your organization forward to meet its mission goals. Receiving funding is the purpose of a grant, but this is not always possible. The experience of writing for a grant and the ideas generated can be just as valuable as monetary recognition. In this spirit, we share with you our grant presentation.

Can we change the world?

Can we change the world? Yes, we can! Our world and everything in it is a reflection of our consciousness, and our consciousness is made up of our thoughts and core beliefs. The world is the way it is, because our thoughts and beliefs have created this world.

The world that exists today is in transition. The past is about an Ethnic and Nationalistic society where because of the difficulty to communicate and travel, the human race was divided into pockets of cultural and genetic development. We are entering into a time of global unity, where through the development of electronic communications and the ease of travel, cultures are mixing and the genetics are blending through inter-marriage.  We are now moving into a global village and we are realizing that our actions on one part of this planet, affect the atmosphere and economics around the world.

There is a natural movement towards global unity, it is inevitable, and the inter-net and our ability to connect to each other because of the inter-net are naturally moving us towards this end. What we are proposing is to increase the conscious effort to move us towards this Global Awareness in a timely manner.

Albert Einstein said “ We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. He also said “Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature and its beauty”.
